In Peru, this has been our view. We got to spend some time living in a community that borders the Amazon. Fresh fruit, fish and plenty of swimming are among the many things to do here. We couldn’t help but compare it to the old computer game we played as a kid, called “The Amazon Trail” (pictured above). In the game, you play as an “adventurer” who journeys down the Amazon river – beginning in Brazil and ending in Peru. Ironically enough, we downloaded and played the game on our laptop, crossing through Pucallpa, where we currently were. Never did we think we would be journeying part of that game in real life!
